Roxi Elison is an exceptionally intelligent, powerful and breathtakingly beautiful woman. She shares her thoughts on life, love and light.

Roxi Gina Elison

The raven haired, long legged Roxi hails from Sandton, Johannesburg. She comes from a close knit family of four and says, ‘Family plays a very big part of my life.’ She is Jewish, but believes that doesn’t define her as an individual but does make up a large part of her identity.

As opposed to religious beliefs, Roxi believes in universal concepts such as the power of attraction. She describes this as, ‘positivity breeds positivity and one is able to achieve things they desire by positive thinking, positive reinforcement and an ambitious attitude.’ And believe me, Roxi oozes positivity, ambition and drive.

Roxi has been and will always be ambitious. Some of her biggest successes have been monumental on most standards. At the age of 7 Roxi trained as an Olympic gymnast and she matriculated top of the class when she left school. Brains and beauty!

Career and Life Path

Roxi began her studies towards her lifelong dream, medicine. Sadly, due to health reasons, she has now found a new path and is in her third year of clinical psychology and is happy to still be able to operate within the health profession.

She is a self confessed perfectionist and is honest when saying that she is hard on herself. She does admit that this can be a hindrance though, but she also adds that it pushes her to perform in the best way that she can and helps her reach her full potential.

Career wise, she wants to start her own practice as a clinical psychologist. In terms of life, she wants what everyone does: happiness, health and the feeling of fulfilment.

Fun and Relationships

For fun Roxi enjoys being out and about, dancing to good house music, reading, watching films and television. She is also an animal lover and deeply treasures any time spent with her beloved pug Gemma. Oh, and when it come to food you will find Roxi in Sushi restaurants.

She has been in a relationship for about eight months. When it comes to potential partners, for her, there must always be a physical attraction and qualities of openness, honesty, a great sense of humour, ambition and intelligence. ‘I believe I have found these in my boyfriend and am madly in love with him!’

Challenges

Roxi feels that she has been blessed with a fairytale life, ‘I couldn’t wish for anything different.’ However, she has suffered from chronic back problems for eight years.

‘Despite doing nearly everything possible to fix it, the problem has remained and living in pain all day, every day is difficult; as is having to have changed various aspects of my life because of it. The way I deal with it is by keeping a positive attitude, remembering all the good I have going for me, and the support I get from my family, boyfriend and friends.’

Proudly Seffrican

‘As many places as I have visited that I would love to live in, in my heart of hearts I adore South Africa and don’t think I could leave here. Although it has its problems, so does every country. I see so much potential.’

‘The World Cup was an example of how we can join together and make South Africa a first rate country and a wonderful place to live and visit. Obviously, I see the biggest problem as crime, specifically violent crime and something huge needs to be done in order to combat it. And it needs to be done now.’

And with Roxi on the case – these may get done sooner than you think. The girl has some serious drive!
