Lebogang Mokoana is the epitome of determination and amiability in women. While good-natured and genial, she is also single-mindedly candid about what she looks for in life, herself and relationships.  

Lebo’s Roots

A Johannesburger through, and through she was born and bred on the East Rand and has a love for South Africa that still holds strong, although she dreams of empowerment for the ‘fairer sex’ in the boardroom as well as the bedroom.

Not one to mince her words, she grew up Catholic and is ‘very grateful for all the blessings I have received, my parents and my two sisters for whom I thank God each day for keeping safe.’

The Work of a Woman

While she spends her weekdays working as a personal assistant in the corporate world of Alexander Forbes Financial Services, she spends her free time doing long distance marathons. Thus far she has done the Comrades and Two Oceans marathons three times each.

Growing up as a ‘fat’ child, which has been her biggest challenge, she has found that running has taught her ‘discipline, commitment and above all built character’. This shows eloquently as she lives her life as a strong, determined single woman who is looking for ‘an honest, down-to-earth, good-hearted partner’ who shares her dream of opening a finishing school for young boys.

Making Dreams Come True

‘I realise that everyone is busy grooming girls, forgetting that the “ungroomed” boys will be dating those girls. I think there should be a balance so they can interact on the same level.’

Lebo, as she is known to her friends and family, has a knack for making the most uncomfortable situations seem humorous without trying too hard;  always adding a touch of gentleness. And while she is not one to take nonsense, she treasures a South Africa that will one day open up to its true potential through the vision of its leaders and the people who believe in them.
