The stunning Berjolais Goldin was born and lives in Johannesburg. She believes in positivity and an energy that surrounds us all.

She believes that the past, present and future and everything that has ever existed, and everything that currently exists, is made up of energy. This includes thoughts, feelings and actions. To Berjolais, everything is connected and, because of this, everything has an effect on everything.

Positive thinking is key to they way she lives her life. She laughs and says, ‘I could go on forever about these beliefs.’

Passion for Art, Friends and Fashion

Berjolais is a fashion designer and fashion buyer for a men’s clothing company and she also gives group art lessons after hours.

In her spare time, Berjolais enjoys painting and spending quality time with her friends and family. She loves the world and enjoys travelling and exploring it. She is happiest when seeing new places, meeting interesting people, sitting down with a good book and dancing to good music.

Ambition and Drive

She would like to start her own international ladies fashion label and hold an art exhibition to showcase her work. And this driven woman has a plan to make this a reality.

For the next 5 years she will be saving as much as possible and with the contacts she has made abroad from her current job, will launch a clothing line, design the clothing herself and work with a design team that she hires.

In terms of her art exhibition, she is currently working on the concept and it is just a matter of ‘brush to canvas’ as she says.

Relationships and Challenges

Berjolais has been in a relationship for over six years. She says of her partner that he is loving, kind, honest and brings out the best in her. They have a wonderful relationship, they listen to each other, accept each others strength and weakness and make each other laugh. She smiles a big smile and exclaims, ‘I love him to bits!’

Before her current relationship she was with someone who was dishonest and cheated, but she got rid of him immediately. She refuses to have cheats or liars in her life; something all woman should know and act on if they find themselves in a dangerous or destructive relationship.

Berjolais has faced challenges in her life and the way she chooses to deal with these is to remember who she truly is, stand strong in her convictions and learn from her mistakes. She has come to understand that no matter how difficult things may seem, they always heal with time.

South Africa with Love

Berjolais believes that South Africa is one of the most beautiful places in the world. What she feels that needs to be addressed is corruption in government and the police force and, of course, we need to address education and the level of education in the public school system. This is because, ‘We need to build an industry in this country and increase the employment rate.’

Finally, Berjolais believes that the people of South Africa need to have a positivity and passion for this beautiful place we live in.

Empowered Women

Based on all the women in Berjolais’ life, she thinks that women need to become more empowered – physically, financially, spiritually and emotionally. ‘The only way to do that is to take control of your life and play a conscious role in every decision that you make!’
