Tibetan Sound Therapy
No, there are no Buddhist monks wandering around about in saffron robes playing the drums or banging their gongs – but the spirit of their ancient healing secrets is now accessible to those living in the Northern suburbs (and of course our international visitors).
As you walk into the ‘specially-built’ sound room, you notice an enormous copper gong and a number of metal bowls, varying in sizes. Originally from Tibet, the treatment is a combination of bona fide Tibetan (the real thing, we asked) singing bowls, gongs and bells that work on the client’s vibrational energy when played by the therapist.

The bowls are placed on various chakra points and the sound reverberates with the chakras and creates a system of balance in the physical body. This sound vibration is said to penetrate deep into the cells (and cellular memory) which increases circulation in the body and creates a sense of well-being.
