The Rocking the Gardens concert this weekend (9 & 10 October) is set to rock Jozi like never before, so cancel all your other plans now.

Rocking the Gardens

This is the second year of Rocking the Gardens, but it is now over two days. South Africa’s top bands, international groups, comedians, performance artists and DJs will have you rocking until you drop on the main stage, the new electronic stage and at the Botanic Beat Boutique. Then there is the gourmet food and drink on offer as well as a Green Market and pampering for women in the Daisy Den.

Amongst the organisers is Oppikoppi Productions, so you know it’s going to be a chilled affair. And not only is it all about fun, but you can feel good about taking yourself there because it is our premier eco-friendly music and lifestyle festival. This year the event is partnering with Food and Trees for Africa and other environmental groups to spread the ‘play hard, tread lightly’ message.

This is not just hot air, because the festival organisers have put in place measures to reduce their carbon footprint to the absolute minimum. So much so that Rocking the Gardens won this year’s Climate Change Leadership Award in the Small and Medium Business Sector.
