Robyn Cowen is an incredibly spiritual woman who is undoubtedly connected to the spiritual realm. She shares her thoughts on life, love and light with us.

On Meeting this Incredible Woman

I met Robyn at the most traumatic moment of my life. When I first saw her enter the hospital grounds on a scorching hot day in August I was blinded, not by the blistering sun that beat down on me but by the magnificent energy that resonated from this beautiful woman.

I knew from that moment I had met someone incredible; someone who was a kindred spirit. I am not saying that I have that radiating energy, not at all, in fact at that time in my life I was dull and living in darkness, but I felt as if I knew her, as if the world knew her and as if she had a connecting thread with everyone who passed her way.

This is Robyn’s story.

A Spiritual Journey

While Jewish, Robyn grew up in a non religious home. Like most secular Jews traditions were adhered to, like lighting the candles on a Friday night to welcome the Sabbath and celebrating some important Jewish holidays, known as chaggim.

As much as Robyn embraced her religion and its rich tradition there was another part of her being she recognised. As she says, ‘A far greater and more expansive realm of beauty, abundance and blessings, in the form of souls.’

The Greatest Teacher

As a child Robyn was blessed to share her life and bedroom with the most ‘magical being I have ever met.’ This ethereal woman was her beloved grandmother; a renowned and highly respected healer and spiritual medium.

‘Our world together was pure spirit and unconditional love; in fact I was communicating with non-physical entities before I even had real conversations with physical beings.’

Her adored grandmother was her mentor and supreme teacher and it was during Robyn’s formative years that she learned about energy, hand on healing, communicating with other worlds and channeling.

‘I will always hold a candle to light her path; so that no matter where she travels in spirit, I am here for her as she has always been for me – a guide.’

Life: A Gift

There have been many ups and downs throughout Robyn’s life, but each moment has been an adventure. If anything, Robyn has learned the greatest lesson of all; that life is well and truly ‘a gift.’

At the age of 16 Robyn married ‘the most wonderful man’. They were married for 25 years and now, even though they have gone their separate ways, they will always love each other deeply. (Many a person can learn from this, I know I could.) Together these wonderful people brought four incredible souls into the world.

‘The gift of light from our children will always be the fire of inspiration and the heart of forward movement for both of us. With them I enjoy the path of love.

Belief

She believes that there is one central flame, a connecting thread almost, that draws all of humanity toward that one glowing ember. This is what she refers to as the ‘fire spirit’; and our life path is to fan the flame and illuminate the light radiating from it.

‘We are all mirrors for each other and our innate potential is unlimited.’

Medicine Woman

Shamanism has always been a vital part of Robyn’s soul and she remembers her life as a medicine woman. And this learning has been brought to this world. She uses this knowledge to facilitate healing whether it be house clearings, medicine wheels, ceremonies, sweat lodges, vision quests, rites of passage or hands on healing.

What she calls the medicine woman or morning star is always with her as her guide. Robyn has become well known, as she should be. She has been interviewed on ‘free spirit’ for shamanism and rites of passage as well as for her views on spirituality on television shows like the ‘Big Question.’

Wellness Within

Robyn says that there are many paths to wellness and growth and that we are magnificent co-creators and, as such, we can create wellness as well as illness.

‘We are electro-magnetic beings, which means we magnetically attract experiences to ourselves based on the unlimited thoughts that unconsciously move through our minds.’ With intense awareness we can become focused on how we truly feel emotionally, which is a clue to how we are thinking, acting and, thus, experiencing.

With many healing modalities available, each one is aligned to the individual and their needs.  ‘I never know how the healing session will unfold or what modality we will be using. Each person walks into my life with a host of guiding energies and they determine the session.’

Healing Sessions

Healing sessions for Robyn are about the person who has opened themselves up to her; emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. That person is the healer of their world. She is merely a facilitator and catalyst creating a safe environment in which to heal.

Robyn has harsh learning’s throughout her life and with love and thankfulness for herself, her spirit and the creator within she has learned the power to overcome. ‘From this I have found peace in each moment; from aloneness I have learned to celebrate the gift of myself; from heartbreak I have truly come to appreciate joy; and, most important, I have learned to love myself, my life, my choices and my journey.’

Robyn’s Life’s Work

Robyn facilitates many workshops on shamanism, crystals, hands on healing, mind-body medicine, aromatherapy, reflexology, Reiki, alchemy of the soul, meditation and tarot. She also sees clients for one on one spiritual counselling and healing sessions, and helps people clear their homes and offices with energy. She also channels soul portraits, guide drawings and guardian angel drawings.

‘Our global village is so awesome and due to our rapidly advancing technology we are all part of one world. This has brought us to a place of being able to share with ease and grace the Gifts of Spirit.’

Inspired

This inspiring woman has almost completed writing and editing a book called ‘Life is Forever.’
