The Ultimate Party Venue
Town Hall is essentially a party venue, something sorely lacking in the
From Balconology’s Fiddle East (the electric Gypsyland BalkanBeats party) to the epic Science Frikshun parties, Town Hall will have all you party lovers coming back for more.
Eclectic and Playful Décor
Town Hall has created a venue that will leave you awestruck and send you back to your days of misadventure and youth. As you gaze around the space you are immediately filled with a sense of playfulness.
As you take in the eclectic décor, you will find little wonders surrounding you. Chandeliers made out of toys, mannequins, antiques and those carnivalesque teddy bear machines that you played with as a child decorate the open space.
You know what Teddy Bear machines I mean. The ones when you tried with all your might to pick up the teddy bear you so desperately wanted with the metal claw that you controlled? God, I loved those. Town Hall effortlessly plays on our grown up playfulness and brings out the kid in you. No sense of pretence, just a sense of fun. What better way to party?

The Parties
On 18 September there is the Bruce Lee Magazine Launch, an MK party that plays host to three awesome bands – TUMI, Yesterday’s Pupil and Musical Chairs. Tickets can be purchased at webticket.co.za for a mere R30. There is no excuse to miss this epicness.
On the 23rd of this month, Town Hall plays host to Fiddle East, an electric Gypsyland BalkanBeats party. I’ve personally attended all these Balcanology parties and I can tell you that they are not to be missed. Hope to see you all there!
Saturday the 25th is another evening of epicness at Town Hall where the always popular Science Frikshun party will take place. Headlining the bash is the Austrian Camo and Krooked, who will have you dancing until the final beat. Tickets for this awesome event can also be purchased online and at the door.
NECRO: The King of Death Rap
NECRO is one of the most influencial hip hop figures of the last decade and he is bringing his talent to South African shores, playing in Cape Town, Stellenbosch and, of course, Johannesburg.
Necro is responsible for coining the word ‘death rap’ and his style of ultraviolent hip hop sets him aside from the rest. The man is a living legend amongst hip hop heads and on 2 October, Town Hall and neighbour The Woods will play his host.
For lovers of hip hop this is a once in a lifetime event, watching a living legend live on our shores. Bloodline, DJ KGB, Archetypes, Ben Sharpa, Gin i Grindeth, DJ Kenzhero and, of course, DJ Hyde and DJ Eclipse will be out in full force on the night. For more information check them out on facebook.
